Dear friends, brothers and sisters in Christ!
We heartily would like to wish you joy on this day, as we celebrate Christ’s resurrection!
Christ is risen! Risen indeed!
But tell me this — since we preach that Christ rose from the dead, why are some of you saying there will be no resurrection of the dead? For if there is no resurrection of the dead, then Christ has not been raised either. And if Christ has not been raised, then all our preaching is useless, and your faith is useless. And we apostles would all be lying about God — for we have said that God raised Christ from the grave. But that can’t be true if there is no resurrection of the dead. And if there is no resurrection of the dead, then Christ has not been raised. And if Christ has not been raised, then your faith is useless and you are still guilty of your sins. In that case, all who have died believing in Christ are lost! And if our hope in Christ is only for this life, we are more to be pitied than anyone in the world.
BUT IN FACT, CHRIST HAS BEEN RAISED FROM THE DEAD. HE IS THE FIRST OF A GREAT HARVEST OF ALL WHO HAVE DIED!

Евангелист Лука, повествует, что пастухи на Вифлеемских полях были первыми, кому Ангел Господень возвестил Благую весть о пришедшим в мир Спасителе всех людей. И увидев ангела, пастухи сначала испугались… Но что они сразу же услышали из уст ангела?
Первые слова Ангела были к ним: не бойтесь! И далее: я возвещаю вам великую радость, которая будет всем людям. В древнегреческом подлиннике, на котором было написано Евангелие, слова Ангела звучат ещё ярче, ещё превосходнее, ещё прекраснее: “не бойтесь, я благовозвещаю вам великую, огромную, большую, торжественную, ликующую радость!”
Не бойтесь! Вам рождён Спаситель, который есть Чудный, Советник, Бог крепкий, Отец вечности, Князь мира – как предвозвестил в своё время пророк Исайя (Исайя 9:6).
“И внезапно явилось с Ангелом многочисленное воинство небесное, славящее Бога и взывающее: слава в вышних Богу, и на земле мир, в человеках благоволение!”
(Евангелие от Луки 2: 13–14).
Мы вступаем в Новый год, и нам неизвестно, что нас ждёт впереди. Но есть одно “но” … Мы, христиане, знаем нашего небесного Отца, который является Богом не боязни, страха и неустройств, но успокоения, мира и радости. Вифлеемские пастухи первыми обрели это знание, и каков был результат? Они не только стали зрителями и слушателями самого прекрасного профессионального ангельского хора во всём мироздании, но и лицом к лицу встретились с самим Мироздателем – нашим Господом Иисусом Христом!
Разве не прекрасно осознавать кто наш Бог? Разве не прекрасно знать какими качествами обладает наш Небесный Отец? Разве не прекрасно знать, Кто будет сопровождать нас в следующем году? Конечно же прекрасно!
Да будет Имя Господне благословенно!

Evangelist Luke tells us that the Bethlehem shepherds were among the first to hear the good news regarding the birth of the Saviour of the people, which was passed on to them by an angel. When the shepherds saw the angel, at first, they were afraid. But such were the words of the angel: “do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people.” In the ancient Greek original, on which the Gospel was written, the words of the angel sound even more beautiful: “Do not be afraid, I am sharing with you the Gospel that is great, grand, solemn and joy-bringing!”
Do not be afraid! Unto you a Saviour is born who is: “Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace”, as the prophet Isaiah foretold in his time.
(Isaiah 9:6).
And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying: “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, goodwill toward men!”
(Luke 2:13-14).
We are fast approaching the new year, yet we do not know what the future holds for us. However, there is one “but” … We, as Christians, know our Heavenly Father, who is not a god of fear, discord and anxiety, but One of peace, joy and comfort. The Bethlehem shepherds acquired this knowledge firsthand, and such was the result, that they not only got to experience the most wonderful professional angel choir in the entire Universe but were also able to meet with the Keeper of the Universe Himself – our Lord Jesus Christ.
Is it not wonderful to acknowledge who our God is? Is it not wonderful to know the characteristics of our Heavenly Father? Is it not wonderful to know who will be by our side in this next year? Of course, it is! May the name of the Lord be forever blessed!

Христос воскрес! Воистину воскрес!
Писание повествует нам, что противники Христа сразу же, в тот же день воскресенья Христова, стали отвергать это событие и даже сформулировали план действий, говоря, что тело Иисуса украли. Евангелист Матфей так пишет об этом: “И сии (первосвященники), собравшись со старейшинами и сделав совещание, довольно денег дали воинам, и сказали: скажите, что ученики Его, придя ночью, украли Его, когда мы спали;” (Мтф.28.12-13)
Как много людей поверило в эту “правду”? Очевидно, не так уж и много. Почему? Потому что, это утверждение не несло никакого смысла. Если стражники действительно спали, то они просто – напросто не могли видеть, а следовательно, и точно знать, что случилось. И наоборот, если стражники не спали, то они бы не позволили никому войти в гробницу и тем более унести тело.
В принципе, можно задать вопрос: кто хотел бы украсть тело, и у кого мог быть такой мотив? У первосвященников и старейшин? Берут большие сомнения. Они, наоборот, желали, чтобы Христос остался в гробе и даже стражу свою поставили. У Пилата и римлян? Тоже нет. Римляне распяли Христа. Они сделали свою работу и им не нужны были другие проблемы. Остаётся думать на учеников. Однако, у них не было желания украсть тело Иисуса, и даже, если допустить, что эта мысль и могла бы возникнуть у них, это невозможно было совершить, так как гроб охранялся. И более того, Писание повествует нам, ученики в панике разбежались, они опасались иудеев, и они горевали, что Учитель их мёртв.
Можно ли себе представить, что убитые горем ученики могли составить план, как украсть тело Того, кто учил их не красть, и потом лгать всем о Том, кто учил их не лгать, и следовательно нести наказание от римских властей за то, что они не совершали и более того, притворяться, что они ждут возвращения Мессии, который был мёртв? Нет! Представить это невозможно! Ответ один: ученики знали – их Учитель воскрес, их Учитель победил смерть, их Учитель жив!
И мы, христиане, радостно восклицаем: наш Господь Иисус Христос воистину воскрес из мёртвых! “И, войдя во гроб, увидели юношу, сидящего на правой стороне, облечённого в белую одежду; и ужаснулись. Он же говорит им: не ужасайтесь. Иисуса ищете Назарянина, распятого; Он воскрес, Его нет здесь.” (Марк.16.5-6).
Христос воскрес! Воистину воскрес!

The Scripture tells us, that the enemies of Christ almost instantly, on that very day when Christ finally conquered death, began to openly deny the fact, going as far as to say that the body of Jesus was stolen. Evangelist Matthew writes: When they (high priests) had assembled with the elders and consulted together, they gave a large sum of money to the soldiers,saying, “Tell them, ‘His disciples came at night and stole Him away while we slept.’” (Mat. 28: 12–13).
How many people do you reckon believed this “truth”? Evidently, not many. Why? Because this statement carries no real meaning. If the soldiers who were guarding the tomb were truly asleep, then there is no way they could’ve been aware of anything that was happening around them. Conversely, if the soldiers were awake, there is no way they would’ve let anyone enter the tomb, let alone take the body of Christ.
We can ask ourselves this question: who would’ve wanted to take the body of Christ, and who could have such a motive? The high priests and the elders? Very unlikely. They above all wanted Jesus to remain in His tomb, which was why they employed the use of soldiers to guard it. What about Pilate and the Roman’s? That too, seems doubtful. The Romans crucified Christ. They did their job, and besides, they probably had bigger problems to worry about. The only party that remains is the disciples. However, they had no motive to steal away the body of Jesus. But if we in the interest of conversation suspend our disbelief and say that they did, a task such as that would’ve been impossible because of the aforementioned guards. Additionally, the Scripture indicates that the disciples scattered out of fear. They feared the Jews and were saddened that their Teacher was dead.
Can you imagine that the heartbroken disciples could make a plan to steal the body of the One who taught them not to steal, and then lie to everyone about the One who taught them not to lie, and therefore be punished by the Roman authorities for not did, and more than that, pretend they were waiting for the return of the Messiah who was dead? No! It is impossible to imagine! There is only one answer: the disciples knew that their Teacher rose from the dead, their Teacher had conquered death, their Teacher is alive!
We as Christians, joyfully proclaim: our Lord Jesus Christ is risen from the dead indeed! “And entering the tomb, they saw a young man clothed in a long white robe sitting on the right side; and they were alarmed. But he said to them: do not be alarmed. You seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He is risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid Him.”
Что принесёт Новый год? Это никому не известно. Но мы, христиане, смотрим в будущее с оптимизмом. Почему? Потому, что Библейский Бог – это Бог надежды, радости и мира. Задолго до Рождества Христова ветхозаветный пророк Исайя уже написал радостные слова, продиктованные ему Самим Господом Богом:
“Ибо младенец родился нам — Сын дан нам; владычество на раменах Его, и нарекут имя Ему: Чудный, Советник, Бог крепкий, Отец вечности, Князь мира.” (Исаия 9:6).
Пророк с оптимизмом смотрел в будущее, он с надеждой ожидал прихода Мессии, он радовался Богом, иначе, эти прекрасные слова не появились на страницах Священного Писания. И действительно, спустя 700 лет слова пророка Исайя претворились в жизнь! Ангел Господень возвестил пастухам великую радость о рождении младенца Иисуса и над Вифлеемскими полями зазвучал чудесный ангельский хор, славящий Бога!
Перед нами новый отрезок жизни длинною в целый год…
Что принесёт Новый год? Это никому не известно. Но мы, христиане живём Богом и поэтому помним прекрасные слова пророка Исайя:
“Ибо младенец родился нам — Сын дан нам; владычество на раменах Его, и нарекут имя Ему: Чудный, Советник, Бог крепкий, Отец вечности, Князь мира.” (Исаия 9:6).
Пусть этот 6 стих 9 главы пророка Исайя будет для нас девизом в Новом 2022 году!
И тогда – в Новом году будет присутствовать радость, потому наш Бог – Бог Чудный;
и тогда – в Новом году у нас будет надежда, так как наш Бог – Бог Советник;
и тогда – в Новом году мы будем чувствовать защиту, ведь наш Бог – Бог крепкий;
и тогда – в Новом году мы всегда будем ощущать любовь Отца небесного, так как наш Бог – Отец вечности;
и тогда – в Новом году мир будет в сердцах наших, потому что наш Бог – Князь мира!
С ПРАЗДНИКОМ РОЖДЕСТВА ХРИСТОВА И НОВЫМ 2022 ГОДОМ, ДОРОГИЕ ДРУЗЬЯ!
MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW 2022 YEAR, DEAR FRIENDS!
One more year has passed…
What will the new one bring? No one knows. But we as Christians look at the future with optimism. Why? Because the Biblical God – is a God of hope, joy, and peace. Way before the birth of Christ, the prophet Isaiah would write these wonderful words, words that were given to him by the Lord God Himself:
“For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” (Isaiah 9:6).
The prophet gazed at the future with optimism. He hopefully awaited the coming of the Messiah and God brought him joy, otherwise, these wonderful words would not have appeared on the pages of the Holy Scriptures. And they turned out to be true, too! Over the course of 700 years, the words of the prophet Isaiah came to fruition. The Angel of the Lord told the shepherds the great news of baby Jesus’ birth and the skies above the Bethlehem fields were filled with an angelic choir, praising God!
Before us is a new page of life, with a year’s worth of room. What will the new year bring? No one can know. But let’s, as Christians, live by God and remember the beautiful words of the prophet Isaiah:
“For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” (Isaiah 9:6).
Let this 6th verse from the 9th chapter of the book of Isaiah be your slogan for the new 2022 year!
And only then, joy will be present in the new year because our God – is a wonderful God.
Hope will be in the new year because our God – is a counselling God.
Protection will be present in the new year because our God – is a mighty God.
We will always feel the love of our Father who is in Heaven in the new year, because our God – is an everlasting Father.
And only then, the new year will bring peace to our hearts, because our God – is the Prince of Peace!
